What's new in S50C for Thailand DLT new rule

Background: Requirements of Thailand DLT rule are scheduled to change since Jan 1, 2027. fifotrack has upgraded GPS tracker S50K to S50C for conforming to it.

1.Hardware modifications:

S50C was modified based on the proved S50K model.

Still use same GSM module Quectel EG915UEU. Use new GPS module LC760Z from Quectel for GPS jamming detection to meet new DLT rule.

Compared with S50K, S50C hardware has added 1 input (IN1, negative/positive configurable) for more I/O option and added 1 speaker plug for voice play.

Summary: 2 input, 1 output, 1 analog input, 1 RS232, 1 speaker plug.

2.Protocol and command list

The Protocol is same as S50K.

Command list changed below:

1) Removed commands

Removed B13 command

Removed B15 command.

Sleep mode no need to configure, automatically on/off associated with the B03 time interval settings.

Remove B20 command (set polygon geo fence).

Remove B24 command (set alarm action), and integrate its functions to B23 command.

Removed B95 command

2) Modified commands

Modify B00 command, the <type> field is for enable/disable TCP connection now. In the S50K, this field is for main server option.

B00,<type>,<IP-domain>,<port>

Modify B02 command, only TCP is supported yet. Can't support UDP.

Modify B08 command for speeding alarm and voice reminder play.

B08,<speeding>,<action>,<duration>

Modify B21 command for fatigue driving alarm

Modify B23, add field <AN> for the alarm code-output control.

Modify B98 command to shut down device directly instead of disconnecting ext power when ext power is low

Modify F01 command to play voice if driving over 7 mins without swiping card.

3) Added command list

Add B18 command to set smart input for IN1.

Add B32 command to set speaker volume

Add B77 command to play voice.

Add F04 command to set long time driving.

Add C13 command to check SIM card ICCID.

Add S17 command to download audio file through FTP.

3.Alarm codes changes

1) Removed alarm codes

Remove alarm code 33 (exit geo fence) and 34 (enter geo fence).

2) Added alarm code

Add alarm code 32 for GPS jamming detection (Device will trigger the alarm if has detected continuous 10 seconds jamming)

3) Modified alarm parameters for:

Alarm code 14- low external power, remove the attached external power voltage

Alarm code 17- low battery, remove the attached battery voltage

Alarm code 18- speeding, remove the attached geo-fence index
